Edward Ka-Spel will be performing at the Sugar Factory in Amsterdam on April 1, 2006. Tickets for this show will go on sale on February 20th. Here is the press release from www.electronation.nl:

On Saturday 1 April as part of Sugar Factory's one-year anniversary weekend Electronation in co-operation with KinkFM proudly presents:

Darkness Is Enlightening: An Evening Dedicated to Your Other Side.

The evening will be separated into two parts. The first part of the evening is A Tribute To Balance and incorporates a release party of the latest edition of the fabulous X-rated CD's. This particular one called X-rated: The Dark Files is being released by SteamSounds music and is dedicated to and inspired by the late Balance.

[The CD] is a brilliant collection of exclusive and non-explosive dark industrial music by some of the world's most acclaimed industrial artists such as: Black Sun Productions, Peter Christopherson, Aural Rage (Danny Hyde), Monoton, Markant, Legendary Pink Dots, Scanner, Steven Stapleton and Raison d'etre and many others.

From the great collection of artists that are included on the X rated CD, we have chosen to invite Edward Ka-Spel of the Legendary Pink Dots to perform live - along with the highly-acclaimed children of darkness: Black Sun Productions. Best known for their collaboration with Coil in some of the band's most iconoclastic live installations and for their Plastic Spider Thing, a cycle of 23 extreme performances, Black Sun Productions' wicked boys released in 2005 two proper albums, OperettAmorale and Visions ov Anarcadia, both warmly received by the public and critics alike.

The doors will be open at 20:00 and performances will start around 20:45.

For the second part of the evening we have chosen to continue with Drama Society, who are Luca Baldini and Sergio Ricciardone, both talented producers, DJs and performers hailing from Italy. Their first 2 singles Liars and Crying Hero were released on Turbo Recordings and following Tiefschwarz's use of the Tiga mix of Crying Hero on their mix album Misch Masch, Drama Society were immediately signed to Fine Records. The subsequent singles - Accident and Crescendo - were released in 2005 and gained praise from Tiga, Tiefschwarz, Laurent Garnier, Ellen Alien and Headman amongst others.

Last year Luca spent 4 weeks with the Pet Shop Boys, arranging and programming part of their forthcoming new album and Sergio and Luca spent their time gigging in places such as Montreal, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, London, Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Lausanne and Hamburg as well as writing and recording their debut album for release later this year. Supported by our own DJ Dion and DJ Nuno dos Santos, for visuals we have chosen to work with the talented VJ Snow.

The second part of the evening starts at 23:00 and finishes at 05:00.
