AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM EDWARD KA-SPEL PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 16 January 2006 01:00

On Saturday, January 14, Erik Drost performed with the Legendary Pink Dots for the last time. Erik has decided to leave the band for personal reasons. His talent, style and enthusiasm brought fresh energy to the Pink Dots when he came aboard in late 2003 and he will be sadly missed. We wish him well in his endeavours and hope to hear more from him in the future.

Erik cannot be replaced, so we will not say that we are working on finding a suitable replacement for him. What we will say is that we will have another announcement for you shortly and that it's going to be a very positive announcement.

A MESSAGE FROM THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 12 December 2005 01:00

We apologise to anyone who turned up the Elk Club on the outskirts of Berne, Switzerland in order to see the Dots last Friday, 9 December. Basically the club had no PA, had made no arrangements for the band to stay anywhere (we were initially offered the floor of the club to sleep on), or even any kind of guarantee for payment, despite a previous agreement. We are still mystified as to just why we were approached to play this show in the first place.

This is only the second show the band has ever cancelled in 25 years due to poor conditions - but never before have we encountered something quite as bad as this.
